Health Insurance/EAP Benefit Plans

*Currently, please note that my office, which includes my Associate/Intern, only accepts the following health plans: Medicare, Health Net-MHN Commercial/Medi-Cal, Cigna, or out-of-pocket payments (no health insurance).  We are no longer contracted with any EAP's (Employee Assistance Programs) at this time.

For patients with PPO insurance and your plan allows for "Out-of-Network Providers," you will need to pay my full fee first then I will provide you with a superbill for your payments so that you can submit the receipt directly to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

If you have the medical insurance coverage that I accept, it may cover some or all of the costs.  Prior to your first appointment, it's best to check with your health insurance on mental health coverage for any deductibles you may or may not have, current panel list that includes my name in their provider directory, co-pay amount for each visit, or any authorization requirements.  My office will submit the insurance claims for you.

Payments
Private pay clients and health insurance co-payments are due at the time of appointment and can be made in cash, check, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Amex), or PayPal.  I also accept Flexible Savings Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) cards.

Appointments
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please call my office to cancel and reschedule in advance. Payments for sessions missed without a 24-hour notification will be required.  Appointments can be scheduled during business hours from M-F.  Evening and weekend appointments are only for clinical emergencies but exceptions are possible.  Please note that I do not answer my phone while in session so please leave a message.

Referrals
If your concern is not in my area of specialization or out of my scope of practice or if I do not accept your healthplan or I cannot immediately accomodate you and will be put on a wait-list instead, please note that I have a resource list of mental health professionals or lower-cost agencies who may be a better fit in helping you.  I will be more than happy to direct you or your initial call to someone else and provide you with referrals if necessary.

Clinical Supervision/Consultation/Training
I offer individual supervision for registered California Board of Behavioral Sciences CSW Associates, MFT Interns, or PCC Interns working towards their licensure hours.  I can also assist new licensees in offering information or support for private practice consultation.  I also provide in-service trainings, consultation, and assistance to other mental health workers on topics such as managing stress-related conditions in the workplace, burnout, compassion fatigue, and on the importance of professional self-care.

Emergencies
Current, Discharged, or Potential Clients: If you have a psychiatric or medical emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest hospital.  If you need to contact me between sessions, please call (818-922-4367) and leave a message.  I will return your call as soon as possible or within a 48-hour period.
